Brain Jack by Brian Falker

349 pages
Science fiction (technology/artificial intelligence)/Action

When Sam Wilson goes just a little too far with his cyber crime, he’s picked up by an elite squad of hackers.  They are hired by the government to protect highly secure networks from the most advanced technology viruses, bugs, and malware ever created.  They are paid an obscene amount of money to do a job they alone are qualified to do.  Especially since it is not always easy to know who the enemy is.  The action is so fast-paced and deadly, it’s easy to forget they are cyber attacks!  Suddenly, the only way for Sam and the other hackers to combat Ursula (the AI), is to connect through a neuro-headset.  Only then, the user’s memories can be manipulated. What happens when there is a direct connection between AI and Sam’s brain will blow your mind (and maybe his as well!).  The story is just realistic enough to be scary, but out there enough to be exciting and suspenseful.

Recommended for mature readers who can handle some crude language and inappropriate situations.
